Ditch the flashcards, the worksheets, and the apps! Did you know that when your baby crawls around a room touching objects, playing with toys, listening to you singing songs, or putting things in his mouth, they are doing a lot more than just playing? Kids learn by doing, by getting messy, by exploring, and by making their own discoveries. As a parent, you can enhance this learning by providing a positive sensory experience.

 Each week, families will engage in Story Time, Sensory Development Play, and Music/Movement lead by a certified Occupational Therapist. These theme based class activities promote Fine Motor, Cognitive Development, Communication, and Social Emotional skills all through play activities!

How long is class and what can I expect?

Classes run for about an hour. Please try to arrive a few minutes early to get situated! Class will begin promptly at the designated start time. Parents are required to stay for the duration of the class. Each class will follow a similar structure with a combination of developmental play, story time, sensory exploration, and music/movement. We will focus on a new theme each week to motivate and engage your little ones. Each class provides you and your child with the opportunity to learn something new!

Sensory Bins Fillers 

Each bin is carefully planned for each age group. 

Bins for ages 12m-3y will include "Taste Safe" fillers and larger sized objects. For ages 4y+, bins will include smaller sized objects and more adventurous sensory textures. 
Bin fillers may include: Various Cereals (May Include NUTs), Crushed Cookies, Cooked and Non-Cooked Pasta, Rice, Beans, Pudding, Water, Sand, Play Doh, Etc...  

PLEASE ADVISE OF ANY POSSIBLE FOOD ALLERGIES! 

 

What should I bring?

If you are attending an outdoor class, please bring a blanket or mat. We’ve got you covered with the rest! Next Level Kidz NJ provides all materials for our developmental sensory play. Please note that all materials will be thoroughly sanitized before and between uses. Things sometimes get a bit messy during sensory bin play. Leaving your favorite shirt at home might be a good idea, lol.

How many students will be in class?

We maintain small class sizes to ensure each child and accompanying caregiver has a hands-on experience and one-on-one attention from the instructor. Next Level Kidz NJ classes give you exclusive access to an Occupational Therapist (an expert in sensory skills & development) in a small group setting. 

 

Is my child a good fit?

Whether you have developmental concerns or not, sensory exploration groups with Next Level Kidz NJ is fun for everyone! Our classes are thoughtfully designed with developmental milestones in mind, and highlight the benefits mixed-age play. Classes are designed for children, of ALL abilities 12 months and up.
