Social Interest Groups

What Makes These Social Classes Different from Others? 

These groups will be led by a certified Occupational therapist with over 9 years of experience (NOT even including the 5 years she had as a child educator!) that specializes in child development, facilitation of social skills, sensory integration, education, and FUN!! These guided social skills group will be focusing on Social Skill Building, Executive Function, Fine Motor Skills, Team Work, Creative and Imaginative thinking. Each class, children will participate in various fun, theme based activities while engaging in communication with other children with similar interests.

Do I have to Sign Up for All 6 Classes?

Classes run in 6 week increments. Although attending ALL 6 weeks isn't necessary, it's highly recommended. Throughout the 6 weeks, children build friendships and skills needed to maintain these friendships.

What Type of Activities Should my Child Expect? 

Activities vary and they are based upon the group's interests. Some activities have included:

4-6 y/o Activities 

Arts & Crafts/Drawing

Sensory Play- Play Doh, Slimes, Kinetic Sand, etc 

Themes (4-6y/o groups)- Dinosaurs, Bugs, Animals, Pirates/Mermaids, etc 

Legos

Board Games

Fuse Beads 

Music/Movement

7y+ Activities 

*Legos/Magna-tiles Building Challenges 

*STEM Challenges

*Making your own Slime/PlayDoh/Etc

*Arts & Crafts/Drawing

*Variety of Games

*Minecraft-  Engaging in various Minecraft Theme Based Activities and Games including/but not limited to (Building activities, Drawing, Trivia, Games)

*Pokémon -  Various Pokémon Theme Based Activities and Games including Trivia. Children are encouraged to bring their cards and talk about Pokémon with other friends. **No Trading of Cards. IF Trading does occur without instructor's knowledge, Instructor is NOT liable **

*Bey Blade Challenges- Fast paced top game and compete in friendly top battles.

Cancellation Policy

Life Happens. Kids get sick and things come up! Classes can be canceled with 24 hours notice. if you cancel. Please EMAIL ToniMarieTheOT@gmail.com at least 24 hours in advanced to cancel your class. If a child is sick or class is canceled due to weather, instructor illness, etc, a MAKE-UP class will be offered. Make-up classes must be taken within 90 days of cancelled class. Unfortunately there will be no make-up for "No-Show/No Notice"
